Frequently Asked Questions

  • I am based in Ōtautahi, Aotearoa (aka Christchurch, New Zealand).

  • At this stage I am unable to take on commissioned work.

  • If you would like your item gift wrapped, please add the Gift wrap product to your cart.

  • While most people use the term stained glass, this actually only applies to leadlights that contain pieces of glass that have been painted with specific glass paint and fired in a kiln. The firing process fuses the paint onto the glass permanently.

A leadlight is the completed form of a window made using smaller, individually cut panels of glass supported with lead came and soldered joins - and does not include any painting.

  • Yes! Unfortunately nothing comes close to lead in terms of the combination of malleability with strength. There are brass/copper/zinc cames available overseas, but they cannot be bent with your fingers so cannot be used for any curved designs. They are also much more expensive than lead came.

  • Unfortunately leadlights for windows or doors, repairs, or cleaning up of old leadlights are all off the cards. I do just so happen to know a good studio for this though - so hit me up if that's what you're after!

  • Which means there may be slight imperfections or differences between pieces or to the images provided.

  • I'm open to doing so at the buyers expense. But being in little ol' New Zealand, the cost of shipping overseas is something I would need a wee bit of time to look into. So if there's a piece you're interested in but you live overseas, just hit me up and I'll find out details for you!

  • I package every item very carefully, however most of my products are very fragile and occasionally damage may occur. If you receive an order that is damaged, please contact me within 48 hours with a description and photos so that we can discuss options.

Items are non-refundable unless there is significant issue with the item as pictured or described, however, please note that any delivery costs incurred including return delivery will not be refunded and the item must be received by myself before the refund can be issued. Items damaged in transit will be refunded in full as will the delivery costs.

All returns are at my sole discretion and I reserve the right to refuse any return.

  • I work my butt off to create these pieces, and as such the images are rather personal to me. Please don't use them without written permission from me to do so.
